The Grenadines
Island hopping at its finest

What to expect
We begin our trip in St George, Grenada. Once we sail north, we will enter the Grenadines. A string of islands that span between the main islands of Grenada and St. Vincent. This is the Caribbean we all know from the movies; Crystal clear blue water, the horizon always awash with the peaks of neighboring islands. There are countless activities to choose from depending on what you like most. Snorkeling is always a favorite, as well as hiking, beach bar hopping, culture and education and resort hopping. It's even possible to take kite surfing lessons or go scuba diving. These islands are the definition of tropical paradise, so you'll find everything from a shack under a palm tree mixing up tropical drinks to a full blown, five star resort that welcomes sailors. Islands we can visit during our trip are:
-
Carriacou
-
Petite Martinique
-
Petite St. Vincent
-
Union Island
-
Mayreau
-
Tobago Cays
-
Canouan
-
Mustique
-
Bequia

Lots to explore
Each island is very different in terms of the culture and what it has to offer. There is a little bit of everything, ranging from secluded, natural land scapes, to vibrant Caribbean towns with shops and restaurants. There is even a national marine reserve in the Tobago Keys that is a popular spot for visiting yachts. There you can snorkel with sea turtles and have lobster dinners on the beach at nightly cookouts.
